  1. Chocolate Pound Cake

The chocolate pound cake is a pound patty that has chocolate. It is a patty prepared with the help of four ingredients that are flour, butter, eggs, and sugar.

You can bake them using the traditional loaf pan. You can serve them using powdered sugar, coating, icing, and so even chocolate glaze.

Here is the chocolate pound cake recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 70 gm all-purpose flour
  • 30gm Cadbury Cocoa Powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 100gm Brown Sugar (powdered)
  • 100gm Butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 50gm Cadbury Dairy Milk
  • 100gm Eggs (2-3 large eggs)

Preparation:

  1. You need to take a sieve, and then pass all the dry ingredients into it.
  2. Then you have to collect all the passed ingredients into a medium-sized bowl.
  3. Now, add some butter and the sugar.
  4. You have to whisk the contents until they become nice & creamy. You can use a beater or whisker as that is more easier.
  5. Then add some vanilla extract and the beaten eggs to the contents in the bowl.
  6. You can again whisk everything until you are able to get a smooth mixture.
  7. Now, it is time to add the choco. You are going to do that by melting it first. You can use the microwave to do that or place the choco in a small bowl, and then place that over an idli steamer.
  8. The choco can be added to the contents and whisked again.
  9. Take the dry ingredients, and then gently add them to the batter.
  10. You have to do this part slowly, and not hurry up. We want the entire content to be mixed properly.
  11. Take a medium pan, and grease it using some butter.
  12. You need to then line it using baking paper.
  13. You need to place it inside a preheated oven that is at 180°C.
  14. You have to pour the batter inside the pan and ensure that the batter is nicely settled inside the pan.
  15. Now, bake for 35 minutes. You may want to add some hot water to the tray inside the oven.
  16. After 30 minutes, you may use a pick to check if it is baked. When the pick comes out clean, that means, your cake is done.
  17. Allow it to cool, and place it on a plate, and cut it into pieces.
  18. Now it is time to eat.

  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • chopped nuts, cocoa powder, or more melted chocolate, for dipping/rolling

Preparation:

  • You need to preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
  • For the cake, you need to take a bowl, add the hot water, add some cocoa powder, and whisk.
  • Use another bowl, and add all the dry ingredients.
  • Now, for the cake layers. Take two to three pans. This depends on how many layers you want.
  • You can place the batter on them and bake them.
  • For the frosting, you need to take a mixing bowl and melt the chocolate. To do that, you need to add butter and mix well. The powdered sugar can be added to them.
  • You need to place the cake layers one by one.
  • Add some frosting to it, completely. Likewise, do the same for the second & third if you want to have 3 layers. The more the layers, the merrier. Use a spatula or large spoon to do that.
  • The frosting has to be nice & thick so that it can be applied on the cake evenly & in a balanced manner.
  • For the truffle, you have to take finely chopped choco and place it into a microwave. Take a pan, and heat some heavy cream, and then pour the chocolate over it. You have to then mix the contents well. It should become in the form of a ganache. Allow it to cool down in the refrigerator. Use a plastic wrap, and then ensure that the surface doesn’t dry out.
  • The cake needs to be placed inside the refrigerator for a few hours to cool.
